Major breakthrough in the world's largest high-end large-scale casting and forging

Recently, the world's largest single capacity of 500MW high head large capacity impact turbine center body forging developed by National Machinery Reassembly and Dongfang Electric Machine successfully passed the ultrasonic inspection before tempering. It marks a major breakthrough in engineering application in the field of super large martensitic stainless steel forgings for hydropower, such as pure purification smelting of molten steel, copying forging of thick cake parts and coordinated control of the structure and shape of forging process. This is another major scientific research after the first breakthrough in the localization of FB2 rotors and nuclear power welded rotors last year.

The forging is a key core component of high head and large capacity impact turbine, which will be used in the construction of Zhala Hydropower Station, the first installed hydropower station project of over one million kilowatts in Xizang. Zhala Hydropower Station is the core power station of the clean energy integration base in southeast Tibet, and is the only hydropower project that can carry out the development and application demonstration of 500MW high head and large capacity impact units at this stage in China, which is of great significance to the realization of national energy security and the energy development strategy of "Tibet power transmission".

Through the advance layout with upstream units of the industrial chain, the national Machinery Reinstallation of the two equipment for joint research on the technical conditions for the construction of large impact wheel with high water head and large capacity impact units in high altitude areas, through systematic material basic characteristics and manufacturing technology research, made continuous breakthroughs in forging smelting, forging, and flaw detection. To build a new "great power heavy equipment" to contribute to the reload force.

Recently, the last set of turbine cylinders of M701J gas turbine successfully developed by National Machinery Reassembly passed the joint inspection and was sent to the user site. So far, all 8 sets of products developed by National Machinery Reassembly have been delivered, becoming the first enterprise in China to successfully master the manufacturing technology of high-end heavy gas turbine castings covering E, F and H/J levels and achieve mass production. It has made important contributions to the localization of the world's advanced H/J class gas turbines.

Heavy-duty gas turbine is the core equipment in the field of power generation and drive, reflecting the industrial level of a country, known as the "crown pearl" of equipment manufacturing industry, widely used in power generation, aviation, shipbuilding, petrochemical and other fields.

By making full use of numerical simulation technology and lean management tools, the dual-equipment research team of National Machinery Reloading carried out multi-field coupling simulation calculation of filling, solidification and stress and whole-process value flow analysis, and overcome key manufacturing technologies such as high-quality H/J class heavy gas turbine thin-wall complex steel casting, providing important support for the localization of heavy gas turbine and ensuring China's energy security.
