The stand or fall of economic effect can be identified from comparison. Technical and economic effect is carried out by comparative method. When comparing process plans, there may be more than two plans. In order to make the conclusion of the analysis correct and reliable, enumerate possible plans or alternative plans using the exhaustive method. Therefore, the so-called process analysis should be carried out to explore a variety of process plans to prepare conditions for technical and economic analysis and selection of the best process plans.
The task of process analysis can be summarized as: according to the functional characteristics, material, shape, dimensional accuracy, quality requirements and production batch of forgings, under the conditions of existing or available equipment, devices, tools, energy, inspection means, management level and personnel quality, put forward various process plans available for use.
During process analysis, the following questions must be considered and answered:
1. Can meet the function of forging;
2. Can meet the technical conditions and quality standards of drawings;
3. Whether the forging structure is reasonable and whether there is excess dressing;
4. Whether processing allowance can be reduced;
5. Can the deformation force or deformation function be reduced?
6. Whether the metal streamline meets the requirements;
7. Ensure that there is no omission in the process of quality;
8. Whether the process and working steps have been less;
9. Whether the material utilization is sufficient, whether it is possible to forge with other forgings, more than one mold or more than one blank;
10. Have you considered cold forging, precision forging, rotary forging, rolling, local die forging, sectional die forging, joint die forging, forging welding and other advanced processes?
